Automotive Journalism plays a big role in showing the general public the latest cars and giving the automakers feedback. Through their long-time reviewing cars and being informed about the cars they can give accurate feedback if a car has good quality or issues. This doesn’t only help the public but also helps the automaker change issues that they can fix. They also hold automakers accountable for intentional bad decisions. But they can also tell us if a certain automaker has a car worth your money or special features that other cars don’t have. everything. Magazines, Websites, and other written stuff is a big part of

different types of people and different tastes/ goals. Some may help keep you
up to date with the newest cars while others explore the old car scene. Some
might only talk about how to keep ur car as good as new while others explore
the topic of fixing one. A big part of media of cars is car reviewing.

and brands utilize Media by creating channels to promote their products, they engage with the customers and try to make the brand more of a household name. There are a lot of ways these days to advertise, some might use traditional commercials and prints ads, while others might own a TikTok account to appeal to the younger generation. All these different ways appeal to different generations and audiences. Manufacturers can create certain content to appeal to their desired audience. For example, a car brand like Toyota might create ads that appeal to everyone, the average person and on how it can improve their life, while an ad for a Rolls Royce, might appear in newspapers about business. A big part of advertising is capturing the attention of the viewer, for example they might try to do a crazy stunt with their car or show how fast it is by comparing it to similar cars in a race. Another way might be to collaborate with influencers or interact with their audience. A good example for this is Lotus, they have a very prominent TikTok page, which is known all over TikTok for their Humourful TikTok’s. In recent years EVs have made themselves a bigger name, as eco friendly and resourceful features became more important to the consumer. Manufacturers must adapt to that demand and create Advertisement around that aspect. In the future this might change and will shift towards self-driving and other safety features.

Automotive Photography and Videography plays a big role in the automotive scene. They showcase cars in ways that text couldn’t. These Photos or Videos can range from drawn comics to professional high-quality videos. There are a lot of ways to capture the aesthetic, curves, features, and performance for cars. There are a lot of different angels which can be used to successfully showcase the car and all it has to offer. These pictures and videos help the consumer decide which car appeals most to them. Automotive Photography requires a lot of experience in photography as there are a lot of different techniques to capture the car. They have to make sure the photo highlights the vehicles distinctive features, they do this by focusing on the lighting, composition and angles of the shot. They must make sure the theme and background also fit in with the car. For example, a fuel or efficient car probably won’t be shot on a track, it would be more likely be shot on the highway in city traffic. The same goes for luxury cars, which will be shot in front of a huge castle for example, or a mansion, while a sports car will be shot on the track. There are a lot of other factors at play which can capture the car and evoke emotions in the viewer. Videography is used in a range of content including promotional videos, documentaries, or reviews. With the rise of video sharing platforms, Enthusiasts and influencers create their own content around cars and share their emotions towards the car. This provides a relatable perspective on the car and shows the modifications they may have done to it.

One of the reasons that these influencers are so popular is because they create relatable content such as their interactions with other car influencers or the police. They talk about the newest cars and newest features or look back at the older cars and older car trends. They also give advice to newer car enthusiasts on what not to do and how to maintain the car. These car influencers all provide different information / post different things, while on YouTube you might find more in-depth reviews and Tutorials, you can find more edited videos of cars on TikTok. Some popular Influencers are for example Doug DeMuro or Chrisfix but there are a lot of smaller content creators that create content just as interesting and informative as the popular ones. Instagram has also become a big platform for car influencers, where car influencers can share stunning photographs, videos and stories. Because these car influencers have such a huge audience, led to Automakers taking a liking in them. By collaborating with them they can show off their brand and the influencer gets paid for their work. This also has a positive impact on the Viewers as they get giveaways such as free merchandise from the brand or behind the scenes content.
